Q: How does your Live Online draft work?
A:
We could give you an in-depth explanation here, but it is not the right place. You can read about it in our Rules section or better yet, sign into our Draft Demo League and run a test Live Online draft!

Q: What is an "intelligent" autodraft?
A: We have played in leagues that have an autodraft component for those not present in the draft room. Often, these teams end up with defenses in the top rounds or multiple QBs before a complete set of starting RBs or WRs have been chosen. Since your league configuration will drive the order of the more valuable positions, we will ask you to rank the positions you deem to be most valuable. Between that information, your player pre-rankings and some built-in logic, our autodraft process will simulate your decision-making process when building your team. You will not get a backup for a starting position until your top starting positions have been filled.

Q: How do I enter a Live Draft when it is time for my league to draft?
A: All your draft information is contained in the message box on your League Home Page.  30 minutes before the scheduled start of your draft, the draft room will be created and the message box will change to display a link to enter the draft room.

Q: Can I participate in a live, online draft using a Safari browser?
A:  Yes, you can, but we cannot guarantee that it will work.  Apple may add some functionality, or you may have installed some plug-ins, that conflicts with our code.  We strongly recommend that you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 6.0 or above, or Mozilla FireFox, version 2.0 or above.  Our coding is tailored to the functionality found in these 2 browsers.

Q: I need to draft for another member of my league. Do I have to log out and log back in each round to make picks for each team?
A: No, you don't.  Our draft control was written to be browser instance specific.  That means that you can log on as yourself and click on the link to enter the Draft Room within 30 minutes of your scheduled draft time.  This will start a new browser instance that will control the draft for your team.  Keep that browser open.   Return to your original browser that is opened to your MFS league.   Log off of MFS and log back in as the other league member and enter the draft room as him.  This will start a separate browser instance that will control the draft for that team.   So, you will have two instances of the draft open; one for each team. This cannot be done on separate tabs.  This needs to be accomplished by having multiple browser instances open.  The only limit to the maximum number of separate controls you can be running is the limitation in memory on your desktop or laptop.

Q: I have a co-owner for my team. We both want to participate in the draft but are in separate states. What do we do?
A
: You can each enter the draft room, as one MFS member or separate members if you have designated the other person as a formal co-owner.  It is best to have your own MFS User ID and have them each linked to the team.  This allows your draft control to operate individually.  If signed in multiple times as the same MFS Member, any maintenance to players in the Player Queue will affect the other person's Player Queue.  You can individually write messages in the Chat Room, but you will effectively be managing the same player queue.  Either way, when it is your team's turn to draft, the first browser that selects a player to draft and presses the Draft Player button has made the draft decision for your team.

Q: The Draft message on our League Home page states that our league contains an odd number of managers and we won't be able to draft. Why?
A
: When MFS was first developed, we allowed leagues with an odd number of managers and we generated Bye weeks. However, it caused too many problems and, frankly, no devout fantasy football player wants to have a Bye week unless it is the first week of the playoffs. So, find another league member or boot someone out of the league that you expect will cause problems throughout the year.

Q: Can I delete our draft? We have 2 more people that we want in the league.
A
: The Commissioner can delete the draft at any time before the start of the NFL season. This can be done from the Draft Options link on the Commissioner's League Home page.
